72 match photos taken at the Isthmian League South East Division match between Three Bridges and Hassocks at Three Bridges' Jubilee Fields ground on Monday 6 April 2026.
Bridges went into this game with a six point lead over second placed Croydon with four games to play, as well as a GD which was 34 better than their rivals, meaning they could all but win the league today. Bridges did their bit, winning comfortably, but Croydon's equaliser midway through the second half at Whyteleafe means that two points are required from the final three matches, though 1 will do the job if it comes against Croydon when they visit on 18 April.
The third goal in this game, given by the linesman who decreed that the ball had crossed the line, was not without controversy. I did a burst of photos at the time (7 frames per second) and have included the one that shows the ball at it's closest to the back of the net (23_P1_DSCN1676.JPG; the 41st image). I was standing level with the edge of the penalty area, so I didn't have an ideal angle but, for my money, the whole of the ball hasn't crossed the whole of the line. What do you think?
