The historic buildings of Lewes
511 photos from 6, 7 & 12 November and 1 December 2020

During the great panic of 2020 I took advantage of the quiet streets to photograph the historic buildings of Lewes over the course of 4 days - 6, 7 & 12 November and 1 December. Of course, Lewes is packed full of historic buildings, so during my 4 trips down from Crawley I took around 4,000 photos and I'm sharing 511 of them here. I had planned to return for a couple of days to cover those that I missed or captured poor images of first time round and then create a series of pages looking at each building in detail on, perhaps, a street by street basis. As neither look likely to happen in the near future I thought I'd share the images now with a brief label on each.

All details are taken from the statutory listings held by Historic England, the information within which may have changed subsequent to the listing following new discoveries or surveys.
