107 pictures from a 13.2 mile circular walk from Ifield Golf Course to Graylands Moated site in Langhurstwood Road, North Horsham, West Sussex. 11 May 2025. The loop was walked anti-clockwise.

I'd been wanting visit this medieval moated site, a Scheduled Ancient Monument, for some time and it seemed ideal for a long and quite ambitious walk when the weather was good and I had a free day. There was no apparent access to the island, and the footbridge marked on 100+ year old OS maps no longer exists. The island is full of dense foliage including some very mature trees so has probably been abandoned for quite some time. The scheduling suggests it was reused as a landscape feature by nearby Graylands during the 19th century. It is likely the site dates to sometime between 1250 and 1350.
